Monica Jackson is a BSc Physics student, technology and innovation enthusiast, and the Founder and CEO of EduCube. A passionate advocate for digital rights and equitable access to education, she believes every child and young person deserves equal access to opportunities, regardless of their background or location.

Growing up in the provinces of Kono, Sierra Leone, Monica experienced firsthand the challenges of limited access to digital tools and educational resources. Her journey changed when, just before entering university, a mentor gifted her a computer,  a simple act that sparked her passion for technology, innovation, and education. Today, that experience drives her mission through EduCube: to become the bridge that gives other students access to the digital tools and opportunities she once lacked.

Beyond her work in education and technology, Monica is also a poet and spoken word artist who uses the power of storytelling and poetry to inspire, educate, and advocate for social change. Through both innovation and creative expression, she is committed to empowering the next generation and building a future where no dream is limited by lack of access.

Her impact and leadership have earned her multiple awards and recognitions at both district and national levels, including the 50 Most Influential Women in Sierra Leone 2025 Award, the Most Influential Young Leaders Tech Innovator Award, the Sierra Leone Women Excellence Award, and recognition for EduCube as a finalist in the Equals in Tech Award (Global partnership for gender equality in the digital age).

 Monica is also recognized as a young and influential leader and was named a winner at the UNDP Social Good Summit 2019. She further emerged as the winner of the Tech Queen Category at the Orange Social Venture Prize 2024, in recognition of her contributions to technology, innovation, and social impact in Sierra Leone.
